"Preparing students to step forward with confidence and a vision of lifetime success."

“The Outreach Staff has a wealth of knowledge and ideas that are very applicable to what we need to use in the classroom.”  – School District

“We appreciate the help offered by outreach consultant; goes out of her way to help - also thankful for summer school program as it helps my child learn the skills he needs with his disability.”  - Parent

Summer Fun & Learning

“Learning by doing” could easily be the theme for the SDSBVI summer program.  It is an opportunity for students to learn new skills and try new things.  We focus on the skills students with vision loss need to be successful in school and in life.  They will learn how to travel safely and efficiently, explore the use of technology for both learning and leisure, practice skills such as cooking and self-care, experience new recreational and social activities, and learn how to advocate for their needs.

We are preparing students to step forward with confidence and a vision of lifetime success!
